Job Summary:
The Lobby Ambassador/Bellperson at the Sheraton Palo Alto is responsible for providing exceptional guest service and ensuring a seamless arrival and departure experience for all hotel guests. This is a full-time, hourly position that will require the individual to work in both the lobby and baggage areas. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a hospitality or customer service role and possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Compensation and Benefits:
This position offers an hourly rate of $22 per hour, paid biweekly. Full-time employees are eligible for a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and opportunities for career advancement within the company.
Responsibilities:
- Greet guests upon arrival and assist with luggage transportation
- Escort guests to their rooms and explain hotel amenities, services, and policies
- Provide recommendations and directions for local attractions, restaurants, and transportation options
- Handle guest requests and complaints in a prompt and professional manner
- Maintain a clean and organized lobby and baggage area
- Assist with valet parking and managing guest vehicles
- Coordinate with front desk and concierge to ensure efficient and smooth guest check-in and checkout
- Monitor and report any maintenance or safety issues in the lobby and baggage areas
- Other duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 1-2 years of previous hospitality or customer service experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Knowledge of local area and attractions preferred
- A positive attitude and ability to work well in a team environment
