About the Role:
Join our team in managing a diverse portfolio of credit relationships. As a Loan Workout Specialist, you'll be responsible for navigating challenged loans, focusing on minimizing losses and maximizing recovery. Your role will involve collaborating with customers, internal teams, and external professionals to craft effective workout plans. Clear communication and adherence to compliance guidelines are paramount. This position reports to a Loan Workout Team Lead.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of loans, including SBA and government-guaranteed loans, with a focus on moderately complex cases.
- Assess risk, repayment capacity, and recovery potential through thorough review and analysis of loan documentation and financial statements.
- Develop and execute workout and liquidation strategies for underperforming loans, ensuring risk mitigation and optimal recovery.
- Maintain compliance with departmental and corporate policies, guidelines, and procedures.
- Foster constructive relationships with regulators and collaborate with various professionals to maximize collateral returns.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the department.
- Periodically travel to meet clients or assess collateral.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Four to five years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in financial statement analysis.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) and operating systems.
- Minimum five years of bankruptcy/workout experience.
- Knowledge of commercial credit products, loan documentation, creditors' rights, and compliance practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
- Familiarity with SBA standard operating procedures and regulations.
- Knowledge of Key Bank policies, procedures, and regulations.
Competencies/Skills:
- Timely and accurate reporting.
- Deadline-oriented.
- Ability to prepare concise and comprehensive documentation.
- Strong risk assessment and negotiation abilities.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Base salary range: $77,000 - $110,000 annually, depending on experience.
- Additional incentives based on individual and company performance.
