SUMMARY
The Loan Specialist plays a crucial role in delivering direct-to-consumer auto finance and refinance options while providing exceptional customer service. Responsibilities include responding to inquiries, gathering necessary information, and presenting additional finance and insurance products.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Embody and uphold The Savings Group's Mission, Vision, and Values.
Ensure consistent delivery of our product offerings.
Maintain and organize a detailed pipeline of loan applications.
Enter all relevant data into the Loan Origination System (LOS) daily.
Adhere to guidelines set by our lending partners.
Use a consultative sales approach to manage expectations and address objections.
Develop expertise in auto refinance consumer lending.
Communicate loan status and approvals to customers promptly.
Provide superior customer service throughout the loan process.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred.
Experience: Prior experience in inside phone sales or customer service, particularly in call center environments or with auto finance, car dealerships, or investment firms, is advantageous.
Language/Communication/Interpersonal: Fluent in spoken and written English with strong communication skills. Ability to interact effectively across all levels of the organization and with customers. Excellent presentation skills.
Math Skills: Basic computation skills required.
Analytical: Detail-oriented with strong organizational and prioritization abilities. Proficient in reasoning and critical thinking.
Technical: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Teams; intermediate Excel skills preferred. Experience with CRMs is a plus.
Other: High level of personal motivation, professionalism, and integrity. Ability to exercise discretion and judgment.

COMPENSATION
This position starts as an hourly-based role ($17.31-$18.29 per hour, depending on location) with overtime pay and a higher per-deal plan during the ramp-up period. Starting from the third month, the position transitions to a salary of $28,000 annually plus uncapped commission potential. On average, Loan Specialists earn $75K annually, with top performers exceeding $150K.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, employees are frequently required to sit. Occasional standing, walking, and lifting up to 25 pounds may be necessary. Specific vision abilities required include close and distance vision, with adjustments in focus as needed.
