A Brief Overview
The Loan Servicing Lead is a task expert who is responsible for assisting the Loan Servicing Supervisor with overseeing daily servicing operations. This position is responsible for maintaining a team environment, assisting with implementation of procedures, training, and overseeing daily servicing tasks. The Loan Servicing Lead establishes productivity standards by successfully combining skills, ability, and effort to ensure levels of service are achieved. This position performs all duties in a manner that models the Bank's standards of quality and service and are compliant with all industry regulations. The Loan Servicing Lead reports to the department supervisor.
What you will do
- Train employees on all loan servicing tasks
- Assist with data entry of new loan bookings, loan disbursing, loan file maintenance, and servicing of all loan types on the Bank's core system
- Review data input for accuracy and completeness
- Answer incoming calls with enthusiasm and professionalism
- Reconcile loan checking accounts and general ledger accounts in a timely manner
- Analyze adjustable-rate mortgages for payment adjustments and interest rate changes
- Complete and submit reconciliations/reporting for SBA and USDA monthly
- Complete credit bureau corrections under the direction of the Loan Servicing Administrative Lead
- Communicate issues to lending officers, loan assistants, and Loan Servicing Supervisor
- Verify that all policies and procedures are followed to minimize risk of fraud
- Assist with managing and monitoring the Loan Maintenance, Loan Wires, and Loan Input email accounts to distribute work assignments
- Process fundings from Investor for Secondary Market loans
- Assist with custodial reconciliations for Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and Federal Home Loan Bank
- Assist other co-workers and cross-train in other areas as needed
Other Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Minimum 5 Years Loan Operations or Loan Servicing Preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
