Job Description:
As a Mortgage Loan Processor, you will play a key role in the mortgage loan origination process. You will work closely with loan officers, underwriters, and clients to ensure timely and accurate processing of loan applications. Your primary responsibilities will include reviewing loan documentation, verifying data, and preparing files for underwriting and approval.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review loan applications and supporting documentation for completeness and accuracy.
- Verify income, credit, and employment information, ensuring compliance with lending regulations and company policies.
- Communicate with clients, loan officers, and other departments to resolve discrepancies or obtain additional information.
- Ensure timely submission of files to underwriting and address any conditions required for loan approval.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the loan origination system.
- Coordinate the closing process by preparing necessary documentation and liaising with title companies and other parties.
- Stay updated on industry regulations and company policies to ensure compliance.
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and addressing concerns in a professional manner.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Previous experience in mortgage loan processing or a related field is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of mortgage industry regulations, underwriting guidelines, and loan documentation.
- Proficiency in using loan origination software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
