About the Job
As a Loan Originator, you'll play a crucial role in helping individuals achieve their dreams of homeownership. You'll work remotely from your home office, leveraging your expertise in mortgage origination to connect with clients and guide them through the loan process. This position offers a dynamic opportunity to build strong relationships with local real estate agents and builders, ensuring seamless transactions and satisfied customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Originate High-Quality Loans: Facilitate the origination of loans in alignment with industry standards and company guidelines.
Develop Business Relationships: Cultivate partnerships with real estate professionals and builders to foster a collaborative network.
Educate and Inform: Conduct informative sessions such as First Time Home Buyer Seminars and product training for realtors, ensuring they are well-versed in our mortgage offerings.
Customer Engagement: Interact with borrowers and real estate agents throughout the loan process, providing timely updates and addressing any concerns.
Compliance and Documentation: Issue pre-qualification letters and explain necessary documentation to borrowers, ensuring transparency and compliance with regulations.
Office Management (As Needed): Depending on business needs, take on responsibilities such as office correspondence and supply maintenance to support operational efficiency.
Travel Requirements: Occasionally travel to meet business needs, enhancing client relationships and expanding your professional network.
Requirements:
Experience: Minimum of 2 years in mortgage origination, with knowledge of VA, FHA, and conventional mortgage programs.
Skills: Proficiency in mortgage software (e.g., Ellie Mae) and underwriting systems (e.g., LP, DU).
Qualities: Self-motivated with strong organizational skills, capable of working independently and prioritizing tasks effectively.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, comfortable conducting presentations and engaging with diverse stakeholders.
Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively within a team environment, fostering positive relationships with colleagues and clients alike.

Physical Requirements: Ability to work in a home office environment, operate office equipment, and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
