We're in search of a Mortgage Loan Officer Assistant to be the trusted right-hand person to our Loan Officers. In this role, you'll directly engage with borrowers, ensuring a seamless and swift mortgage process while delivering top-notch customer service. Your pivotal role will span from initial contact to contract closure, allowing our Loan Officers to focus on generating new business and expanding our lending portfolio.

Compensation:
$45,000 - $60,000 annually
Responsibilities:
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with referral partners and borrowers to attract new business and retain existing clientele.
- Facilitate the completion of loan applications, coordinate document collection, including credit reports, run DU/LP/AUS, provide closing cost worksheets to borrowers, and prepare files for processing.
- Act as the primary point of contact throughout the "contact to contract" phase, liaising between clients, referral partners, and the Loan Officer, and scheduling meetings to address any follow-up matters.
- Address inquiries from customers or colleagues regarding transactions and provide quotes when necessary to ensure exceptional customer service.
- Thoroughly review all loan package documentation for discrepancies, omissions, and income calculations, promptly reporting any issues to the loan originator.
Qualifications:
- Possession of a current NMLS license or willingness to obtain one within 90 days.
- Prior experience with loan origination software like Encompass LOS.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, time management, and follow-up skills.
- Proficient understanding of automated underwriting systems such as LP and DU.
- Sound knowledge of mortgage loan products (FHA/VA/CONV/USDA) and familiarity with mortgage documentation, processes, and procedures.
