About the Job
The Loan Documentation Specialist is a permanent role with a hybrid schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Communicates with clients, Lenders, and Credit Team; Assists with collection and validation of all client information related to the terms of the approved loan request during closing due diligence.
- Interacts with external third-party vendors to include, but not limited to, appraisers, attorneys, insurance providers to obtain certain documentation as needed.
- Provides additional support to ensure all documents are properly drafted, executed, recorded, and filed with necessary parties to perfect rights and collateral position.
- Participates in client closings to familiarize and educate clients on all aspects of the closing process, documentation and Pathway Lending products and services.
- Accurately creates and ensures completeness of data in all platforms such as Salesforce, TEA and Sageworks, with strong attention to detail.
- Review and organize documents both electronically and physically, from pre-closing to post-closing for completeness and adherence to Pathway Lending's retention policy.
- Assists with loan payments and disbursements, tracks, and assists in collecting any post-closing items.
- Documents and processes loan modifications and renewals.
- Assists with loan processing and closings for external partners as required by applicable Pathway Lending commitments.
- Acquires and maintains a solid foundation and understanding of all areas of commercial loan documentation as required by Pathway Lending.
- Actively participates in analyzing and interpreting the Credit Approval documents and supplemental vendor information to determine borrower, collateral, and guarantor requirements, and ensure production of appropriate documentation in compliance with the terms of the loan request.

- Strong Microsoft Office skills (including Adobe and ability to navigate multiple computer systems, applications, and utilize search tools).
- Knowledge of small business and commercial loan documentation
- Strong analytical skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate (oral and written)
- Ability to interact with all levels of the organization
- Ability to meet / exceed business goals and objectives while fostering a team atmosphere
- Bachelor's Degree / Three+ years of experience in job related activities preferred.
