Job Overview
A leading poultry production company seeks a Live Poultry Production Manager to lead operations across three hatcheries and three feed mills in Eastern North Carolina. This role is crucial for maintaining high production standards while ensuring compliance with animal welfare and OSHA guidelines. Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Oversight: Direct day-to-day operations across hatcheries and feed mills, optimizing production and team performance.
- Budget and Compliance: Develop, implement, and manage Live Production budgets while enforcing compliance with company policies and bio-security, food safety, and poultry welfare programs.
- Communication and Leadership: Foster effective communication across departments and levels, ensuring smooth operations and quick resolution of issues.
- Safety and Regulatory Adherence: Uphold compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, with an emphasis on bio-security, food safety, and OSHA guidelines for both poultry production and feed mill operations.
- Trend Analysis: Analyze production trends to identify issues or successful practices, making data-driven adjustments to improve operations.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science preferred; other relevant degrees or equivalent experience considered.
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years in poultry husbandry, hatchery, broiler, and feed mill management.
- Technical Expertise: Knowledge of animal welfare and OSHA standards specific to poultry production and feed mills.
