Schedule:

• 5-day work week with flexibility to work weekends as needed
• Hours: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, with multiple breaks during the day
• Must be available to work 50–60 hours per week

Position Summary:

A private individual in Fairfield, CT, seeks an experienced and dedicated Live-in Housekeeper to assist with the daily maintenance and care of a formal household. The ideal candidate must possess a strong hospitality and service mindset, a proactive "can-do" attitude, and a love for pets, as the home includes several cats and dogs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Household Cleaning & Maintenance:
  • Perform daily cleaning and upkeep of the residence, including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and living spaces
  • Dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and polishing furniture and fixtures
  • Organize and maintain closets, drawers, and other storage areas
  • Handle deep cleaning tasks as needed
• Laundry & Wardrobe Care:
  • Wash, iron, and press household linens and clothing
  • Ensure proper care and maintenance of delicate fabrics and high-end garments
• Pet Care:
  • Assist with feeding, grooming, and exercising household pets (cats and dogs)
  • Clean and maintain pet areas, including litter boxes and pet bedding
  • Monitor pet health and report any concerns to the principal
• Hospitality & Service:
  • Assist with setting tables and serving meals when required
  • Maintain a welcoming and organized environment for the principal and guests
  • Provide exceptional service with a discreet and professional demeanor
• Household Management Support:
  • Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies and household essentials
  • Coordinate with vendors, such as maintenance personnel, when necessary
  • Report any damages or necessary repairs to the principal

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in a similar role within a formal household
• Must be comfortable working around pets and have a genuine love for animals
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication skills
• A flexible and adaptable approach to work, including the ability to handle last-minute requests
• Experience in a high-end or formal household setting
• Knowledge of pet grooming and care practices
• Valid US Work Authorization 
• Valid Driver’s License
