Cynthia James, Attorney at Law, LLC is a dynamic, solo, general practice law firm in downtown Winder, Georgia. We specialize in providing expert legal assistance to our clients in mostly family law, criminal law, juvenile law and mediations. Our team is dedicated to providing high-quality legal representation and personalized service to meet the unique needs of each client.
We are seeking a Paralegal to start immediately. The ideal candidate must have completed an approved two year paralegal program or have at least two years of experience in a family law and/or criminal law firm. Punctuality is necessary. The paralegal must have knowledge of, drafting pleadings, motions, discovery, maintaining files, attorney scheduling, building rapport with clients, and case management.
Strong computer skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently are required.
Job Description:
Summarizing cases and preparing reports for attorneys
• Manage Client contacts, files and case progression from start to finish
Conducting legal research, d
• Preparing and filing documents with courts, Manage Calendars
• Organizing and archiving the documents related to completed and ongoing cases
• Keeping track of changes in legal framework and providing timely updates on these changes.
All candidates must be self-sufficient and be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Job Types: Full-time
Pay: $20+/hour. Pay is commensurate with experience and ability.
Hours of operation are 9:00 AM- 5:00 PM. Very little overtime is required but necessary when needed.
Ability to commute/relocate: Winder, GA 30680: Reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (Required)
Experience: Legal case management/paralegal: 2 years (Required)

Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of legal document preparation, document review, and legal research
- Ability to draft pleadings and motions accurately and efficiently
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Proficiency in legal research tools and databases
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience working in a law firm or legal department required
- Two year paralegal degree is preferred
