Our dynamic law firm is seeking a Permanent Litigation Paralegal to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a Certified Paralegal with at least 2 years of experience in the legal field. The successful candidate will have the chance to work on high-profile cases, providing critical support to our team of attorneys. This role requires a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills.
Responsibilities:
1. Assist with all aspects of the litigation process, from the initial phase of discovery through trial and post-trial findings and appeals.
2. Conduct in-depth legal research and analysis to support case preparation.
3. Draft, review, and manage legal documents, pleadings, motions, and briefs to ensure they are accurate and comply with court rules and procedures.
4. Utilize legal software like Clio for effective case management and efiling, ensuring all case documents are properly organized and easily accessible.
5. Coordinate and manage court efiling processes, ensuring all documents are filed in a timely and efficient manner.
6. Communicate and liaise with clients, attorneys, court personnel, and other professionals to gather and disseminate information.
7. Prepare for and assist during trials, including preparing exhibits, witness preparation, and trial organization.
8. Provide general administrative support to attorneys, including scheduling meetings, maintaining calendars, and managing correspondence.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Paralegal, preferably within a litigation setting.
2. Certified Paralegal from an accredited institution.
3. Proven experience with legal writing, legal document preparation, legal assistance, legal documentation, and legal case management.
4. Strong knowledge and experience with case management and efiling systems, preferably Clio.
5. Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage large amounts of data, case files, and other information in a fast-paced environment.
6. Excellent legal research skills with the ability to analyze complex legal documents and case law.
7. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex legal concepts and information.
8. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
9. Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
10. High level of professional integrity and confidentiality.
