We are seeking an experienced, dedicated, and proactive Litigation Legal Assistant/Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has a keen interest in litigation and a passion for the law. You will be working closely with our litigation team, providing comprehensive support in a fast-paced, challenging, and rewarding environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide comprehensive support to our litigation team, including preparing and reviewing legal documents and maintaining case files.
2. Manage efiling procedures and ensure all documents are filed in a timely and accurate manner.
3. Assist with hearing and trial preparation.
4. Conduct conflict checks to identify any potential ethical or legal issues.
5. Coordinate and schedule meetings, depositions, hearings, and trials.
6. Liaise with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and other parties in a professional and courteous manner.
7. Maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion when handling sensitive information.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Litigation Legal Assistant in a law firm environment with interest in moving into a paralegal role, or a current paralegal
2. Strong knowledge of legal terminology, court procedures, and efiling systems.
3. Experience in conducting conflict checks and identifying potential ethical or legal issues.
4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
5. Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
6. High level of professionalism and discretion when handling confidential information.
7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat.
8. Bachelor's degree required.
