Litigation Paralegal - San Diego!
A premier civil litigation firm in San Diego is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join its growing team. This hybrid role requires three days in-office per week and offers an excellent compensation package, comprehensive benefits, and a collaborative, supportive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research
- Update and maintain internal databases
- Organize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices
- Aid attorneys with interrogatories and other discovery requests
- Gather relevant information from a variety of sources
- Liaise between trial team and internal/external third parties
- Communicating with retained experts and preparing relevant materials for expert review
- Help with voir dire, jury selection and witness preparation
- Subpoena medical, billing, and radiology records, employment records, workers compensation records, and other entities
- Prepare comprehensive medical chronologies andHowellanalysis
- Summarize written discovery and document productions
- Conduct background checks, social media investigations, litigation history
Qualifications:
- 3+ years’ of recent experience in civil litigation – employment and/or wage and hour class action/PAGA experience required
- Proficient in the use of Word, Outlook, and One Drive
- Must be able to navigate the web like Magellan
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and OneDrive
- Knowledge of state and federal civil procedure
- Trial preparation and trial support experience is required
- Knowledge of motions, discovery, evidence, litigation documents, court rules and procedures, practices, etc
- ABA approved paralegal certificate or other relevant certification
- Highly organized, with the ability to handle a high caseload
- Positive attitude, team-oriented, and professional
- Strong communication skills with clients and co-workers
