Civil Litigation Paralegal

Are you an experienced paralegal seeking a great opportunity for trial preparation and in-courtroom trial experience in State and Federal courts?  This is an excellent opportunity for a highly-skilled paralegal to join our esteemed firm.   We are a civil defense firm specializing in public entity, police liability, personal injury and employment litigation. We have extremely interesting cases.

Responsibilities:

• Strong knowledge of California rules and court procedures
• Trial preparation, exhibits, trial binders including tech needs
• Organize documents and coordinate document productions including bate-stamping, redaction, duplication and indexing of documents
• Prepare document subpoenas
• Review and summarize discovery responses and medical records
• Review and proofread documents and correspondence to ensure accuracy
• Coordinate, track and update process server for service of documents on parties
• Coordinate the collection of, and return of, original records from client, expert, subpoenaed witnesses, courthouse, and other off-site locations as needed

Qualifications:

• Ability to adhere to strict time deadlines
• Strong attention to detail
• Exceptional organizational skills
• 7 plus years of experience desired
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; researching/problem-solving skills
• Paralegal Certificate
