We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Litigation Paralegal to join our busy law firm. This role is perfect for a seasoned professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to make a significant impact within our organization. You will work directly with our attorneys, providing comprehensive litigation support, and handling a variety of tasks related to insurance defense, community association, and real estate.
Responsibilities:
1. Assist in all facets of litigation management including legal research, document drafting, case management, and trial preparation.
2. Provide comprehensive support in insurance defense matters, including case assessment, strategic advice, and dispute resolution.
3. Handle various aspects of community association litigation, including drafting pleadings, preparing discovery, and attending hearings.
4. Assist in real estate litigation matters, including property disputes, title issues, and landlord-tenant disputes.
5. Conduct legal research and factual investigation to identify key issues and relevant matters.
6. Maintain case files and manage deadlines, ensuring all relevant documents are easily accessible and organized.
7. Coordinate and manage document production and discovery processes.
8. Liaise with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and experts, maintaining professionalism and confidentiality at all times.
9. Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, affidavits, and briefs.
10. Prepare for and attend trials, depositions, mediations, and client meetings, as required.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 2 years of experience as a litigation paralegal, preferably within insurance defense, community association, and real estate.
2. Paralegal certification or equivalent legal qualification is required.
3. Proficient in using legal research tools and litigation support software.
4. Strong understanding of legal principles, court procedures, and legal terminology related to litigation.
5. Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases and prioritize tasks effectively.
6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to draft legal documents and communicate complex information clearly and concisely.
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make sound decisions.
8. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team, demonstrating a high level of initiative, professionalism, and discretion.
9. High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
10. Ability to handle sensitive information with the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality.
