Adams & Martin Group has partnered with a CA-based law firm consistently named among OCBJ's Best Places to Work, is seeking to hire an experienced Litigation Paralegal. The firm provides representation in a range of areas including business and real estate litigation, corporate transactions, labor and employment, and environmental law. The firm offers a hybrid schedule, allowing employees to work 2 days from home and 3 days in-office (in Newport Beach).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Support attorneys and paralegals by organizing and summarizing case materials across multiple practice areas.
- Assist in preparing tender letters, discovery summaries, and matrices/spreadsheets.
- Draft, revise, and proofread legal documents with accuracy.
- Perform legal research using Westlaw, government websites, and other tools.
- Manage documents and case files using Microsoft Office, Excel, and iManage software.
- Utilize e-discovery platforms to support litigation processes.
- Assist in mediation and trial preparation.
- Maintain accurate time records for billable and non-billable tasks.
- Maintain professionalism when interacting with clients, opposing counsel, and others.
- Perform other case management tasks as assigned.
Education and Experience Requirements
- Undergraduate degree and ABA-approved paralegal certificate required.
- 5-10 years of litigation experience preferred.
- At least 3+ years of e-Discovery experience.
- Experience in construction defect, insurance defense, and business litigation is a plus.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in legal research, document management, and standard office technology.
- Self-motivated with strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
