They are committed to representing accident victims within the tristate area. Their attorneys specialize in helping clients through the complex litigation process to obtain full compensation after a serious or fatal accident.

Liakas Law, P.C. is seeking a full-time Litigation Paralegal for our office in the Financial District. As a family-owned Plaintiff Personal Injury Firm, we are dedicated to providing exceptional service. The ideal candidate must have 2+ years of experience in MVA, Premises, and Labor Laws in New York. 

• Draft discovery demands, assist with e-discovery, create and maintain discovery indexes, organize case files, and set discovery deadlines.
• Review and analyze litigation documentation, summarize depositions, and organize and summarize medical records.
• Draft Summons and Complaints.
• Draft stipulations and proposed orders.
• Prepare responses to demands, motions, notices to produce, and mediation statements.
• Draft Bills of Particulars.
• Prepare and schedule Examinations Before Trial / Depositions.
• Calendar dates, schedule IMEs, and schedule 50h Hearings.
• Conduct client meetings.
• Maintain communication with clients, attorneys, and NY Courts.
  
  

• Legal drafting and research skills (required)
• Experience with Bills of Particulars (required)
• Plaintiff PI and discovery demands experience (required)
• Associate or bachelor's Degree (preferred)
• Notary license (preferred)
• Bilingual (Spanish, preferred)
• Strong organizational skills
• Attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills
• 2+ years of experience in MVA, Premises, and Labor Laws in New York (preferred) 

Candidates who do not meet these criteria will not be considered, as this is the primary focus of our firm. Experience must be with plaintiff firms; defense experience will not be accepted.

Schedule:

• Mon-Fri, 9am-5:30pm. This is an in-office position

Salary: $55,000- $95,000 per year depending on experience.
