Our prestigious law firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional legal support to our attorneys in all areas of litigation. This role requires a self-motivated, detail-oriented professional with a strong understanding of legal principles, court rules, and procedures. The Litigation Paralegal will be expected to handle a high volume of complex tasks under tight deadlines, while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
Responsibilities:
1. Assist attorneys in all stages of litigation cases from onset through post-trial.
2. Conduct pre-claim investigation, legal research, and initial case assessments.
3. Draft pleadings, motions, and appellate documents, and file them with the court.
4. Perform administrative duties such as calendar hearings, deadlines, and case management.
5. Liaise with clients to gather and manage information pertinent to their case.
6. Coordinate the discovery process, organize evidence, and draft discovery documents.
7. Assist with the preparation of trial briefs, exhibits, subpoenas, and witness preparation.
8. Utilize legal software and technology for e-discovery and case management.
9. Review, analyze, and summarize large volumes of complex legal documents.
10. Ensure all legal documents are correctly filed and served.
11. Maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all client and firm matters.
Qualifications:
1. Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Litigation Paralegal.
2. Proven expertise in legal research, case management, trial preparation, and client relations.
3. Proficiency in drafting pleadings, preparing legal documents, and document review.
4. Extensive experience using legal software for e-discovery and case management.
5. Exceptional legal writing skills and experience in preparing legal documentation.
6. Strong organizational skills and ability to handle high volume of tasks under tight deadlines.
7. Excellent interpersonal skills for maintaining client relations.
8. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
9. Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies, Law, or related field preferred.
10. Paralegal certification from an accredited program is a plus.
