About the Job
We are seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join the Trial and Litigation Group at a well respected law firm. This is a direct hire position! As a Litigation Paralegal, you will collaborate closely with attorneys and team members to manage cases from inception through trial or settlement.
Current hybrid schedule: 3 days at home, 2 days in office.
Pay: $49 - $60/hourly
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and revise legal documents.
- Maintain case files and discovery logs; support document production.
- Assist with deposition and hearing preparation, including organizing exhibit documents and witness outlines.
- Cite-check legal briefs and supporting materials for accuracy.
- Coordinate with the Litigation Support Group for back-end document management using platforms like iPro.
- Meet an annual billable hour target of 1575 hours.
- Work extended hours and travel as necessary to support cases.
- Provide excellent customer support and maintain a reliable, punctual schedule.
Qualifications:
- Ability to work as a paralegal under Cal. Bus. & Prof. Code section 6450.
- A minimum of five years of recent experience as a litigation paralegal in a California law firm or in-house legal department.
- Proficiency with Adobe Pro, Microsoft Office 365, and advanced Microsoft Excel functions (e.g., PivotTables, VLOOKUP)
- Hands-on experience with eDiscovery software (e.g., Relativity, iPro)
- Strong legal research skills
- Thorough knowledge of legal procedures, court rules, and local regulations.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Team-oriented with the ability to collaborate effectively.
- Strong ethical standards and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with strong interpersonal abilities.
