About the Job
We currently have an opportunity for a Litigation Paralegal with a law firm in the Florham Park, NJ area (zip code 07932).This position will provide trial preparation to attorneys as well as project/case management.
Position responsibilities are:
- Prepare documents including depositions, subpoenas
- Correspondence with clients and the courts
- Trial preparation including preparing trial exhibits, witness binders, drafting electronic presentations as well as attendance during court proceedings
- Conduct legal research and investigations
- Case administration - Create and maintain file organization including database management
- Coordinate and maintain facilities and technology relationships as well as vendor performance and billing procedures
- Implement and maintain firm project lists, budgets,and firm quarterly updates
- Establish and maintain legal team calendar as well as electronic court filing
Position requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree and Certificate in Paralegal Studies preferred
- At least 3-5 years of experience as a litigation paralegal
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong technical skills - High level of proficiency in MS Outlook, MS Office, Lexis Nexis, Pacer and E-Filing
- High level of proficiency with internet file transfer, document security/encryption and client data management best practices
