They represent public entities, insurance companies and their insureds, private corporations and individuals on a national, regional and local level.
The insurance coverage team routinely advises insurance companies on domestic and foreign policies involving primary, umbrella, and excess coverage, having considerable experience with claims involving environmental, construction, healthcare, general liability, mass torts, product liability and worker’s compensation. They work with underwriters to craft policy language. And when the need arises, the team represents insurers in actions for declaratory relief and bad faith, often in cases presenting novel or unique coverage issues.

Job Details
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct research on legal issues and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests
- Organize and manage case files, including documents, exhibits, and other materials
- Assist attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and depositions
- Communicate with clients, interview witnesses, and experts to gather information and coordinate schedules
- Review and analyze medical records, police reports, and other evidence
- Maintain calendars and deadlines for case-related activities
- Provide support during trial, including preparing exhibits, managing witnesses, responding to discovery, issuing written discovery, review and summarize medical records, issuing subpoenas and organizing evidence
Job Qualifications:
- Must be a CA certified Paralegal
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in paralegal studies or related field
- 5+ years of experience as a litigation paralegal, preferably in insurance defense
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
