Job Description: Boutique law firm in Beverly Hills seeks a Litigation Paralegal to join their team. The ideal Litigation Paralegal is proactive, takes initiative, has extensive experience conducting discovery, drafting legal documents such as meet and confer letters, and possesses a paralegal certificate and/or 5 years of experience in the field.
Job Duties:
* Prepare intake memos, chronologies, complaints, and discovery plans.
* Draft discovery requests, responses, meet-and-confer letters, deposition notices, subpoenas, and objections.
* Summarize various key documents and responses.
* Compile trial documents including exhibit lists, witness lists, jury instructions, CACI instructions, notice to appear, notice to produce at time of trial.
* Coordinate notices to appear and produce at trial.
* Research and draft responses to demands for medical examination.
* Manage documentation for and attend site inspections and vehicle examinations.
* Participate in initial meetings with the attorneys and prospective clients.
* Create, update, and maintain witness and player charts, production logs.
* Communicate with research experts and third party providers.
* Prep witnesses and experts for trial with the attorney.
* Attend trials and court hearings, when needed.
Candidate Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Paralegal certificate OR 5 years of paralegal experience required, with preference to Bad Faith Insurance.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, legal softwares, and Trial Works.
