Our prestigious law firm is currently seeking a Litigation Paralegal to join our dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional who is seeking to leverage their skills in a challenging, fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our litigation team, handling complex cases and ensuring the smooth operation of our legal processes. The position requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide comprehensive litigation support to our team of attorneys, including case management, document review, and legal research.
2. Draft, review, and file various legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
3. Coordinate and manage document production and discovery process.
4. Assist in the preparation for depositions, mediations, arbitrations, hearings, and trials.
5. Conduct detailed document reviews and analysis to identify relevant information and potential evidence.
6. Organize and maintain case files, ensuring all relevant information is easily accessible and up-to-date.
7. Coordinate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel to schedule hearings and other legal proceedings.
8. Stay updated on current laws and regulations related to litigation procedures and court rules.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a litigation paralegal, ideally in civil litigation defense or commercial litigation
2. Proficiency in document review, litigation support, and drafting/legal research.
3. Strong knowledge of legal research tools and databases.
4. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
6. Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines.
7. Proficient in using legal software for case management, document review, and trial preparation.
8. Paralegal certification from an accredited program is preferred.
9. Bachelor’s degree in Law, Paralegal Studies, or a related field is a plus.
