About the Job
We are working with a regional law firm with offices in the tri-state area and New England, seeking a Paralegal with at least three years of experience to join their Hartford, CT office.
Their ideal candidate has a minimum of three years of experience working on medical malpractice defense matters. Duties include client contact, assisting attorneys with file organization and maintenance, discovery management, trial preparation, gathering, organizing and indexing medical records, deposition transcript management, e-filing in state and federal courts, and other case related duties as needed.
Candidates should have a paralegal certificate or comparable paralegal education, a working knowledge of the internet, Westlaw research experience, proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, strong organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment. Short calendar experience is preferred.
