We are on the hunt for a dedicated and experienced Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled professional to work in a fast-paced environment, providing essential support to our attorneys. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the legal industry, with a strong background in trial preparation. This role offers the chance to work on high-profile cases, manage important legal documentation, and contribute to the success of our firm.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Paralegal, your daily tasks will vary, but your core responsibilities will include:
1. Assisting attorneys with trial preparation, including gathering and organizing evidence, drafting legal documents, and coordinating witness testimony.
2. Conducting legal research to support case strategies and to stay updated on relevant laws and regulations.
3. Managing case files and maintaining an efficient filing system.
4. Preparing and reviewing legal documents such as contracts, affidavits, and pleadings.
5. Coordinating and scheduling court dates, meetings, and conferences.
6. Liaising with clients, witnesses, court officials, and other legal professionals in a professional manner.
7. Assisting in the drafting of legal opinions, briefs, and other legal documents.
8. Ensuring all deadlines are met and that all work is completed to the highest standard.
Qualifications:
To be considered for the role of Permanent Paralegal, candidates must possess the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Paralegal or in a similar role.
2. A Bachelor's degree in Law, Paralegal Studies, or a related field. A paralegal certification will be considered an advantage.
3. Extensive experience with trial preparation, including drafting legal documents and organizing evidence.
4. Proficiency in legal research and knowledge of legal terminology.
5. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
6. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
7. The ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
8. Proficiency in using legal software and Microsoft Office Suite.
9. A professional and ethical approach to work.
