Your specific duties will include:
- Provide support to one or more lawyers.
- Be able to work independently.
- Willingness to become familiar with all aspects of construction law.
- Prepare motions, letters, hearing notices, discovery, subpoenas, and other related legal documents.
- E-file court documents using Simplifile and Eportal.
- Review the attorney's calendar and be familiar with scheduling conferences and hearings using Zoom.
- Answer phone calls, take notes/messages, and redirect calls when appropriate.
- Be familiar with a paperless office using scanning and data management.
- Open new client files and update addresses, phone numbers, etc. of contact details.
- Knowledge of legal terminology, regulations, and court system.
- Knowledge of MS Office.
- Experience with Net Documents and Practice Panther a plus.
- Proficient in grammar and punctuation.
- Ability to multitask and be comfortable dealing with a diverse pool of people.
