Job Details
The Business Litigation Paralegal will play a key role in supporting attorneys with complex commercial and business litigation cases.
This role involves managing case files, conducting research, drafting legal documents, and ensuring compliance with procedural requirements.
The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and experienced in handling business litigation matters in Florida.

- Case Management: Organize, maintain, and update case files, including pleadings, discovery, and correspondence.
- Discovery Support: Assist in preparing, reviewing, and responding to discovery requests, including interrogatories, requests for production, and subpoenas.
- Legal Research: Conduct legal and factual research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other resources.
- Drafting: Prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, subpoenas, notices, and correspondence, under attorney supervision.
- Trial Preparation: Coordinate trial preparation activities, including preparing exhibits, witness lists, and trial binders.
- Court Filings: File documents in state and federal courts, ensuring compliance with court rules and deadlines.
- Client Interaction: Maintain communication with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel as necessary.
- Administrative Support: Provide administrative assistance to attorneys, including scheduling depositions, hearings, and meetings.

- Education: Associate's or Bachelor’s degree; paralegal certification preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a paralegal, preferably in business or commercial litigation.
- Strong knowledge of Florida Rules of Civil Procedure and court filing processes.
- Proficiency in legal research tools (Westlaw, LexisNexis) and litigation software (e.g., Relativity, CaseMap, or similar).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
