Job title: Litigation Legal Secretary
Reporting to: Director of Administration
Base salary: $60,000-$95,000/per year
Location: Houston, TX [hybrid]

Position Overview:
Based in Houston, the Corporate Legal Secretary - Team Support role is part of a dedicated team of secretaries providing extensive support to attorneys across litigation, corporate/transactional, and real estate practice areas. This position may also directly assist one or more litigation attorneys.
Key Responsibilities:
Drafting letters, spreadsheets, presentations, and templates with complex formatting.
Preparation of documents for filing with appellate courts, district courts, and various state courts through attorney service and e-filing portals.
Preparation of corporate closing binders and signature packets.
Calculation of litigation calendaring deadlines.
Coordination and scheduling of depositions, office meetings, and travel arrangements.
Conducting research, obtaining information, and facilitating the completion of forms and processes.
Processing invoices, reimbursements, and reviewing time entries.
Qualifications:
Comprehensive knowledge of legal office procedures.
Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Ability to use good judgment in handling tasks in a timely and professional manner with limited supervision.
Strong litigation skills and the ability to work effectively with various courts, agencies, firm departments, and offices.
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
Solid computer proficiencies including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Experience in Adobe, Forms Workflow, Workshare Compare, and Best Authority preferred.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and problem-solving abilities while remaining calm in deadline-driven situations.
Excellent grammar, punctuation, proofreading, and spelling skills.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of a team.
Strong work ethic of punctuality and reliability.
The Firm is Seeking:
5+ years of experience supporting litigation attorneys at a law firm.
Extensive experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Training will be provided on the Firm’s software applications.
