Job Details
Dallas Litigation Law Firm is seeking a Litigation Legal Assistant to join our high-energy legal team. This role is pivotal in supporting our attorneys by managing day-to-day operations, including preparing legal documents, drafting correspondence, conducting research, and maintaining client relationships. If you are an organized, detail-oriented professional with a passion for law and a drive to create efficient, streamlined processes, we would love to hear from you. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in a similar role and a strong understanding of Litigation Calendaring, Efiling in State and Federal Court, and drafting litigation pleadings.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide comprehensive administrative support to our litigation team, including scheduling meetings, maintaining calendars, and managing correspondence.
2. Prepare and format legal and management reports.
3. Draft and proofread legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and subpoenas.
4. Conduct legal research and compile data as requested by attorneys.
5. Maintain organized case files and manage case dockets.
6. Coordinate and manage discovery documents, including organizing and indexing exhibits.
7. Facilitate communication and coordinate with clients, court officials, and other legal professionals.
8. Ensure all deadlines are met with timely submission of legal documents to appropriate parties.
9. Assist with trial preparation, including compiling trial notebooks and witness files.
Qualifications:
1. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Legal Assistant, preferably in litigation.
2. Proficiency in Calendaring and other legal office management systems.
3. Exceptional knowledge of legal procedures, terminology, and court system.
4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with high attention to detail.
5. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
6. Strong research and report-generating skills.
7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
8. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
9. Strong client relationship management skills with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
10. Paralegal certification or degree in law, legal studies or a related field is preferred.
