Litigation Legal Assistant - Aspen Careers, LLC

Aspen Careers is partnering with a local law firm that is seeking to hire a full-time experienced litigation legal assistant for its downtown Columbus office.

The Role:

This legal assistant will work with multiple attorneys providing a full range of support, including, but not limited to:

• Providing support to multiple attorneys in the litigation practice area of the firm, 
• Act as liaison between internal departments and outside agencies,
• Preparation/revision of correspondence, pleadings, and other documents,
• Handle a wide variety of complex and confidential time-sensitive material,
• Maintain calendars, CLE reports, and time records,
• Prepare and gather exhibits for trial binders,
• Assist with Time Entries and New Client Reports,
• Assist with preparing for and scheduling depositions and mediations,
• Various office and client filing; proofreading documents.

Background Profile:

• 3-5 years of experience working in litigation
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as excellent proofreading skills
• Ability to multi-task, and timely respond to deadlines as well as balance workload
• Strong typing and organization skills and be detail-oriented 
• Knowledge of MS Word
