We are currently seeking a dynamic and highly-skilled Legal Administrative Assistant to join our fast-paced legal team. This is a permanent role that offers an exciting opportunity to get involved in a broad range of legal tasks and to work closely with a team of experienced professionals.
Responsibilities:
As a Legal Administrative Assistant, you will be expected to:
1. Provide comprehensive administrative support to our legal team, including scheduling meetings, organizing case files, and managing correspondence.
2. Utilize your expertise in civil litigation to assist with case management and preparation.
3. Prepare for hearings and trials by organizing evidence, drafting legal documents, and coordinating logistics.
4. Handle e-filing duties, ensuring that all documents are properly filed and easily accessible for the legal team.
5. Manage legal billing processes, including tracking billable hours, preparing invoices, and following up on payments.
6. Liaise with clients, court officials, and other legal professionals in a professional and friendly manner.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
1. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within the legal industry.
2. Proven experience with civil litigation (insurance defense litigation strongly preferred)
3. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
4. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
5. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
6. Proficiency in using legal software and Microsoft Office Suite.
7. A team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
