Job Description: The firm is seeking an experienced Toxic Tort Defense Associate Attorney to join its litigation team. The ideal candidate will have a background in toxic tort or environmental litigation, with a proven ability to handle all phases of litigation, including discovery, depositions, motions, and trial work. The firm provides aggressive, effective defense strategies while maintaining a collegial and supportive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Defend clients in toxic tort cases, including environmental claims, chemical exposure, and hazardous material litigation.
- Manage all aspects of litigation, including pleadings, motions, discovery, depositions, and trial preparation.
- Conduct legal research and draft complex legal documents.
- Collaborate with expert witnesses, consultants, and other attorneys to develop and implement defense strategies.
- Attend hearings, mediations, and trials to advocate for clients' interests.
Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in toxic tort defense or similar environmental litigation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong litigation skills, including experience managing toxic tort cases from inception to resolution.
- Excellent written and oral communication abilities.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
