Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive legal representation to a diverse client base with a focus on personal injury cases.
- Prepare and draft legal documents including pleadings, discovery, motions, briefs, contracts, and other legal materials.
- Conduct legal research and analysis to develop case strategies and provide legal advice.
- Represent clients in court, presenting evidence and arguments to achieve the best possible outcome.
- Negotiate settlements, mediate disputes, and advocate for clients' rights and interests.
- Manage all phases of litigation from investigation, pleadings, and discovery to pre-trial, trial, settlement, and appeal.
- Maintain professional relationships with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and members of the legal community.
- Comply with all legal standards and regulations, maintaining the highest level of professional and ethical conduct.
- Continually update legal knowledge and skills through professional development and continuing education.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active member of the Utah State Bar in good standing.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Litigation Attorney, with a focus on personal injury law.
- Proven ability to manage a heavy caseload and juggle multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong litigation skills, including experience with trials, hearings, depositions, and mediations.
- Excellent legal research, analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, demonstrating professionalism and a positive attitude.
