Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of personal injury cases from inception to trial
- Draft pleadings and motions
- Conduct legal research and prepare legal briefs
- Attend hearings, mediations, and depositions
- Conduct discovery, including drafting and responding to discovery requests
- Prepare trial notebooks and exhibits
- Conduct pre-trial conferences and settlement negotiations
- Attend trials and present evidence to the court
- Maintain accurate and detailed case records
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in personal injury litigation on the Plaintiffs side.
- Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school
- Admitted to practice law in the state of Florida
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of state and federal court rules and procedures
- Ability to manage a high volume of cases and meet deadlines
- Strong negotiation and advocacy skills
- Experience with case management software and electronic discovery tools
