POSITION OVERVIEW:
Our Client, a leading law firm with a commitment to excellence and innovation, is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney for our Los Angeles office with a minimum of four years of experience in business litigation, class action defense, and/or mass-tort/products liability. The ideal candidate will have exceptional academic credentials from a top-tier law school and demonstrated writing and analytical skills. Admission to the California bar is required. Preference will be given to candidates with federal clerkship experience or leadership roles in Law Review.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage a diverse caseload of litigation matters, including business disputes, class actions, and mass-tort/products liability cases.
- Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis.
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
- Assist with all stages of discovery, including document production and review.
- Prepare for and participate in hearings, depositions, and trials.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with clients, colleagues, and opposing counsel.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the California State Bar.
- Minimum of four years of business litigation experience.
- Strong writing and analytical skills, with a demonstrated ability to produce clear and persuasive legal documents.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently on client matters.
- Commitment to providing exceptional client service.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Standard hours of work: Monday through Friday, 7:00AM–5:30PM. Some late nights and weekends may be required.
- Must be able to lift and move up to 25 pounds at times.
- Travel may be required up to 10% of the time.
