We are seeking a dynamic, passionate, and skilled Litigation Attorney to join our team. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers a challenging and rewarding opportunity to make a significant impact on our clients' lives. Our firm is committed to providing the highest level of legal representation, and we are looking for a candidate who shares our dedication to excellence. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in litigation, personal injury cases, dispute resolution, and trial practice.
Responsibilities:
As a Litigation Attorney, your primary duties will include:
1. Representing clients in court or before government agencies, presenting evidence to defend clients or prosecute defendants in criminal or civil litigation.
2. Selecting jurors, arguing motions, meeting with judges, and questioning witnesses during the course of a trial.
3. Studying and interpreting laws, rulings, and regulations for individuals and businesses.
4. Presenting and summarizing cases to judges and juries.
5. Preparing legal briefs and opinions, and filing appeals in state and federal courts of appeal.
6. Negotiating settlements of civil disputes.
7. Conducting legal research and analysis of law sources such as statutes, recorded judicial decisions, legal articles, treaties, constitutions, and legal codes to prepare legal documents, such as briefs, pleadings, appeals, wills, contracts, initial and amended articles of incorporation, stock certificates and other securities, buy-sell agreements, closing papers and binders, deeds, and trust instruments for review, approval, and use by attorney.
8. Examining legal data to determine advisability of defending or prosecuting lawsuit.
9. Analyzing the probable outcomes of cases, using knowledge of legal precedents.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
1. Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in litigation, with a focus on personal injury cases, dispute resolution, and trial practice.
3. Admission to the State Bar.
4. Proven background in civil litigation and trial work.
5. Exceptional negotiation skills with the ability to resolve disputes effectively and efficiently.
6. Strong analytical skills and the ability to think strategically.
7. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
8. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
9. Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
