We are currently seeking a dynamic and highly experienced Consulting Litigation Attorney to join our esteemed legal team. This exciting role will involve a significant focus on insurance defense, insurance coverage matters, making it an excellent opportunity for individuals who thrive in complex, fast-paced environments. The ideal candidate will be an experienced professional with a strong understanding of the litigation process.
Responsibilities:
As a Consulting Litigation Attorney, your key responsibilities will include:
1. Assisting with representation of clients in all phases of insurance coverage/defense litigation.
2. Conducting extensive legal research and analysis to prepare for court proceedings.
3. Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating legal documents including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
4. Advising clients on the best legal strategies to resolve disputes or mitigate potential risks.
5. Collaborating with a team of attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants to ensure the delivery of high-quality legal services.
6. Engaging in settlement negotiations and mediations to resolve disputes outside of court.
7. Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of changes in insurance laws and regulations.
8. Developing strong relationships with clients, providing them with regular updates and ensuring their legal needs are met.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Consulting Litigation Attorney position will have the following qualifications:
1. Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in civil litigation, ideally insurance coverage/defense litigation.
3. Admission to the state bar and in good standing.
4. Strong understanding of insurance laws, regulations, and policies.
5. Proven track record of successfully representing clients in insurance defense litigation.
6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts in a clear and concise manner.
7. Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
8. Ability to meet tight deadlines.
9. High degree of professional ethics and integrity.
10. Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and team members.
