We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Litigation Associate Attorney with a focus on Catastrophic Loss to join our dynamic legal team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on high-profile cases, providing legal services to our clients who have suffered catastrophic losses. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in handling complex litigation cases, with a particular focus on catastrophic loss and personal injury. You will be responsible for managing a diverse caseload, crafting legal strategies, and delivering favorable outcomes for our clients.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage a diverse caseload of catastrophic loss and personal injury cases.
2. Conduct thorough and detailed investigations to determine the potential liability and damages.
3. Draft, review, and file legal documents including pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, and responses.
4. Represent clients in court hearings, settlement conferences, and trials.
5. Develop and implement effective litigation strategies to achieve favorable outcomes for our clients.
6. Communicate regularly with clients, providing updates and advice on their cases.
7. Collaborate with legal team members and other professionals to prepare for trial.
8. Conduct legal research and analysis to support case preparation.
9. Review medical records and work with medical experts to understand the impact of injuries on clients.
10. Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel when appropriate.
Qualifications:
1. Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school.
2. Must be a licensed attorney in good standing with the state bar of Texas.
3. Minimum of 5 years of experience in plaintiff's side litigation.
4. Proven experience in law and motion practice.
5. Experience in reviewing medical records and working with medical experts.
6. Demonstrated ability to handle a diverse caseload of catastrophic loss and personal injury cases.
7. Strong negotiation, advocacy, and problem-solving skills.
8. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
10. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
11. Proficiency in legal research and analysis.
12. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
13. Willingness to keep up-to-date with changes in the law and legal practices.
