We are seeking a dynamic, passionate, and dedicated Litigation Attorney to join our high-performing legal team. This position offers a unique opportunity to immerse oneself in a fast-paced environment, dealing with a diverse range of legal issues. The successful candidate will be a key player, handling a variety of litigation matters, including civil litigation, and playing a crucial role in shaping our team.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage all aspects of civil litigation, including drafting pleadings, conducting discovery, leading depositions, attending court appearances, and participating in trials.
2. Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis to support case preparation and strategy development.
3. Draft and review legal documents such as contracts, agreements, and legal opinions.
4. Collaborate with legal team members and other departments to ensure the company's legal compliance and risk mitigation.
5. Provide sound legal advice to the company's management, departments, and employees, interpreting laws, rulings, and regulations in a clear and understandable manner.
6. Represent the company in various legal proceedings, including pre-trial hearings, court trials, and mediation.
7. Stay abreast of legislative changes that may affect the company and its industry, ensuring all relevant stakeholders are informed of potential impacts.
Qualifications:
1. Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
2. Must be a licensed attorney in good standing with at least 2 years of experience in civil litigation.
3. Proven experience leading depositions and handling complex legal issues.
4. Exceptional legal research and writing skills, with a keen attention to detail.
5. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple cases with varying deadlines.
6. Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to represent the company effectively in a variety of settings.
7. High level of professional ethics and integrity.
8. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions based on researched information.
9. Proficiency in using legal software and technology for case management and legal research.
