Responsibilities:
As a Litigation Associate, your duties will include, but are not limited to:
1. Managing all aspects of litigation matters from inception to conclusion.
2. Conducting e-discovery, including managing document production, reviewing and coding documents, and working with e-discovery vendors.
3. Conducting thorough and detailed fact development to support case strategies.
4. Drafting, reviewing, and revising a wide variety of legal documents, including pleadings, discovery requests and responses, and settlement agreements.
5. Drafting complex motions, briefs, and other documents for submission to courts.
6. Representing the organization in court, at hearings, and during depositions.
7. Collaborating with team members and clients to ensure a consistent and effective approach to litigation.
8. Keeping abreast of changes in laws and regulations that may affect the organization and its clients.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Litigation Associate position will have the following qualifications:
1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. A minimum of 2 years of experience in litigation, preferably within a law firm or corporate legal department.
3. Proficient in e-discovery processes and platforms.
4. Strong experience in fact development, including conducting investigations and interviews.
5. Proven experience drafting legal documents, pleadings, and complex motions.
6. Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly and effectively.
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and creatively.
8. Ability to work independently and in a team, managing multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
9. Admission to the state bar where practicing.
