Litigation Associate

Chicago Firm specializing in civil defense / insurance coverage litigation, including construction, property and casualty, serious personal injury, and wrongful death claims is seeking a Litigation Associate with 3-7 years’ experience to join their growing team.  Hybrid option after 90 days onsite.  Compensation commensurate with experience.   Excellent benefits with profit sharing, 401k and opportunity for advancement!

Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in civil defense and insurance coverage cases.
• Handle claims related to construction, property, casualty, serious personal injury, and wrongful death.
• Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Attend hearings, depositions, and trials.
• Manage discovery and document production.
• Advise clients and negotiate settlements.
• Collaborate with attorneys and support staff.

Qualifications:

• JD degree and admission to the IL Bar.
• 3-7 years of experience in civil litigation.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Motivated self-starter with excellent time management.
