Job Details
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced attorney to join our defense firm. We are looking for someone with a minimum of 5 years of experience but will also consider Sr Associate, Partner, or Counsel roles. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in complex litigation, particularly in product liability, toxic tort, mass tort, construction defect, or similar practice areas. Experience working with forensic experts is highly beneficial.
Responsibilities:
Manage a diverse caseload of complex litigation matters from inception to resolution, including all aspects of case strategy, discovery, motion practice, trial preparation, and settlement negotiations.
Provide strategic guidance and direction to junior attorneys and support staff.
Develop and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication, collaboration, and exceptional client service.
Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies and legal arguments.
Prepare persuasive written briefs, motions, and other legal documents.
Represent clients in mediations, arbitrations, and court hearings.
Stay abreast of legal developments, trends, and best practices within the field of complex litigation.
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Admission to the State Bar of California and in good standing.
Minimum of 5 years of experience practicing complex litigation, with a focus on product liability, construction defect, toxic tort, or similar practice areas.
Strong litigation and trial skills, including experience managing all phases of litigation.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to think strategically, solve complex legal issues, and provide sound legal advice.
Proven track record of delivering high-quality work product and achieving successful outcomes for clients.
Experience working with forensic experts is a plus.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Flexible on office location within California, with a future opportunity to lead the office.
