We are actively seeking a highly skilled and motivated Associate Attorney with experience in civil litigation to join a distinguished and dynamic California law firm. This is an exceptional opportunity to work in a respected practice, managing diverse cases from inception to trial, while interacting directly with clients and contributing to strategic legal decisions. The ideal candidate will bring strong legal expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to excellence in both client service and litigation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a diverse caseload of civil litigation matters, from initial filing through to trial.
- Draft, review, and respond to pleadings, motions, and other critical legal documents.
- Oversee all aspects of the discovery process, including interrogatories, document requests, and depositions.
- Take charge of conducting depositions and represent the firm at court hearings, motions, and various legal proceedings.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys in developing and executing trial strategies, including preparing exhibits, witness lists, and legal arguments.
- Maintain consistent client communication, providing updates and strategic advice throughout the litigation process.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Active member of the California State Bar.
- 3-7 years of hands-on experience in civil litigation, with expertise in business disputes, employment law, personal injury, and/or insurance law.
- Demonstrated success in managing complex litigation matters from start to finish.
- Strong legal research, technical writing skills, and proficiency with legal research tools.
- Experience in both state and federal court proceedings.
- Outstanding oral and written communication, negotiation, and client relations skills.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently while thriving in a collaborative team environment.
