We are looking for a motivated, detail-oriented, and experienced Litigation Associate Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. The successful candidate will have a keen interest in litigation and a strong desire to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment. The role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and a strong commitment to client service. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced attorney who is looking to take on a significant role in a well-established law firm.
Responsibilities:
1. Prepare and draft legal documents such as pleadings, briefs, motions, discovery, and settlement agreements.
2. Conduct thorough legal research to support case preparation and strategy development.
3. Develop effective case strategies based on thorough understanding and analysis of each case.
4. Conduct depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts.
5. Represent clients in court proceedings, including hearings, trials, arbitrations, and mediations.
6. Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients.
7. Collaborate with legal team to ensure a coordinated approach to case management.
8. Maintain compliance with all legal standards and regulations.
9. Keep abreast of legislative changes that may affect your clients and cases.
10. Provide sound legal advice to clients and ensure their rights are protected.
Qualifications:
1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Must be a member in good standing with the State Bar of Texas
3. Minimum of 2 years of experience in litigation, preferably on the defense side.
4. Proven experience in legal document preparation, legal research, case strategy development, and conducting depositions.
5. Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to develop case strategies and analyze complex legal documents.
6. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
7. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines.
8. Proven ability to represent clients in court and during negotiations.
9. High level of professionalism and confidentiality.
10. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
11. Proficient in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.
12. A commitment to providing outstanding client service.
