Job Details
A leading law firm specializing in construction, real estate, and corporate law, is seeking a skilled Construction Litigation Assistant to join our team in Coral Gables, FL.
Responsibilities:
- Draft and prepare legal documents including pleadings, motions, and discovery responses
- Assist attorneys with case management and trial preparation
- Organize and manage large volume discovery, including propounding and responding to discovery requests and subpoenas
- Conduct legal research and analyze documents related to construction claims
- Coordinate with project teams to gather information and documentation for cases
- Manage calendars, schedule meetings, and handle client communications
- Assist in preparing responses to various pleadings and filing of documents
- Proofread and edit legal documents for accuracy and clarity
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field; Paralegal Certificate preferred
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in construction litigation or related legal field
- Strong knowledge of construction law and industry practices
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in legal research tools and document management software
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
