About the Job
The San Diego office of an AmLaw 100 law firm with over 1000 attorneys in 35 offices seeks a Litigation Administrative Assistant to join the team in handling various complex commercial, civil, and defense litigation matters.
*This position offers a hybrid schedule.
A Day in the Life:As the Administrative Assistant, you will provide high level legal and administrative support to Partners, Associates, and Paralegals. You will prepare/revise/finalize correspondence, pleadings, documents, and other clerical assignments as delegated. Maintain attorney calendars, make travel arrangements, and process monthly expense reports. You will run conflict checks, open new client/matter engagements, maintain electronic and paper client files, and set-up billing requirements for clients. You will enter attorney time in time entry system. File documents with appropriate courts, including e-filings, schedule depositions and other client meetings, communicate with clients as necessary. You will assist with billing/client invoices and maintain and update contacts.
We Know You:The ideal candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and the ability to deal with unscheduled events that may require changing priorities. Must have strong ability to write and communicate effectively and professionally with employees, clients, and attorneys. Must have strong typing skills (65+ wpm), excellent proofreading skills and proficiency using Microsoft Suite products. Must be a self-starter and have proactive work habits.
The idea candidate will also have the following:
- 5+ years of recent State and Federal litigation experience within a law firm
- Experience with a document management system, docketing system, billing, and time entry programs preferred.
Pursuant to the salary transparency provisions of the Pay Transparency for Pay Equity Act, please find the compensation range specific to this role if based in the state California:
- California pay range for this role, with final offer amount depending on experience is $65,000 to $80,000.
