Qualifications You Must Have:

• Typically,  Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of experience or 9 years of prior relevant experience.

• Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

• Experience with Linux architecture, deployment, administration, networking, performance monitoring/tuning, security hardening, and troubleshooting

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Integrated AD authentication  (Kerberos, LDAP and/or Centrify)

• Experience with SMTP, DHCP, DNS, NIS, LDAP, CIFS, NFS, Samba and *NIX system security

• Experience with infrastructure backup, restore, disaster recovery and business continuity products like Symantec NetBackup and experience with security infrastructure products and capabilities (e.g. Antivirus)

• Experience gathering requirements, designing, and implementing appropriate solutions, application installation and multi-server environment/deployment and IT incident/service request system

• Experience with HP server hardware support and diagnosis, storage hardware support and diagnosis

• Automation via scripting -  file replication, file system tuning, upgrading and configuring

• Experience with HP server and storage hardware and knowledge of NAS and/or SAN (e.g. NetApp), experience with VMware ESXi and vCenter technologies

• Familiar with Splunk & Centrify products, BASH Scripting and Ansible 

• CompTIA Security+ certification or other industry-recognized certifications relevant to a Linux/Unix System Administrator

The salary range for this role is 85,000 USD - 179,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
