About the Job
SMX is seeking a Linux Systems Administrator to perform daily duties to support high performance through effective system monitoring and maintenance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular system monitoring and software patching.
- Quickly resolve system issues and customer tickets.
- Implement security measures such as Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) compliance.
- Experience with scripting languages
- Experience with system monitoring tools and auditing data from the OS
- Experience with virtualization
- Experience with NAGIOS, Puppet, TENTAKEL, or IPMI
- Experience with NESSUS
- Experience with high performance Linux cluster
- Experience with source code control system
- Experience with AWS API command line
- Experience with Puppet/Chef, Jenkins, and YUM repositories
Required Skills/Experience:
- Clearance: TS/SCI Full Scope Polygraph
- On site support Monday - Friday in Reston, VA
