Linux System Administrator - General Dynamics Mission Systems, Inc

Basic Qualifications :

Bachelor’s degree in a specialized area; or equivalent is required plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
A Department of Defense TS/SCI security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES:

As a Linux Systems Administrator for Cyber Systems, you’ll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for enterprise class systems, specialized Linux OS, cross domain solutions, boundary devices and customer service.

 

We encourage you to apply if you have any of these preferred skills or experiences: RedHat Linux, system/server builds, advanced troubleshooting, cross domain, and detail orientated.

 

What sets you apart:  

• Red Hat LINUX command line administration
• Command level troubleshooting of OS and associated hardware/software
• Apply Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and mitigation of vulnerabilities as directed by IA based on scan findings and applicable DoD direction
• Manage cross domain enterprise level solutions
• Re-imaging workstations, servers, and databases (both physical and virtual)
• Current and Active TS/SCI Clearance

Salary Note:This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary.
